*Vultures Knob>>>Bike Lock

I think I am getting wrong answers?

If I hold a wrench on the pedal nut and tight to the pedal so it simulates locked bearings in the pedal and pedal the bike, the pedals do screw off. Not on as people on hear have been telling me . Why are the threads in that direction instead of direction to cause the pedal to screw on. If you don't believe this think hard about it or try it on your bike

The pedals are acting correctly. Holding the pedal axle stationary and pedalling forward will remove the pedals. Holding the axle and pedalling backwards will install them.

The threads are designed that way so that whenever you are pedaling forward it is as if the pedal is tightening on the crank. That way if the bearings grind inside the pedal and cause it to seize, you would just ruin the pedal and not the crank.
