Neighbours? |
I have put up with a lot from my neighbours...banging,shouting, reving their bike outside my window at all hours of the day and night and much much more yet they feel my latch is too loud on my door when it clicks shut and it is "keeping them awake at night" and make numerous complaints about things that i dont have a clue are happening/have nothing to do with or are part of everyday life - how can i deal with them and their little notes they keep putting through my door (other than change my locks to sponge) Just contact your local council and hand over the notes with a written detail (diary is good) of your own complaints. These epoeple know they are in the wrong but are trying to scare you. It's always easy to give up and put up with it or try to move but why should you? Do you know the famioly on the other side of this famiole (next door but one to you) Maybe they have problems too so you could get together and discuss this with the council...Sometimes it really is easier to move and have a stres free life, but they are in the wrong so really try and check with surrounding neighbours as there is legislation now to remove bad neighbours quickly. What you must nver do is take them on yourself as if they are as bad mannered as they sound it could cause trouble. Let someone else do it for you as you've paid your taxes and are entitled to help!Good luck! do you have a landlord? let them handle it if you own your place, you could file a harrassment complaint and/or noise pollution Get a restraining order to keep them off your property. Seriously, record it and sent it to him, u know he will do something about it. www.drphil.com You can try your hardest to not give them any evidence they can use against you. Mine think they need to be dominant over others, and want to be the worst thing that has ever happened to me. Remember that they have to get a calibrated audio recording of whatever they say you do, if it is noise. I make a lot of noise back at mine, but do it in such a way that they could not use it as evidence without incriminating themselves. ASBO |
