Which bicycle Lock for around $60 (AUS)?

Which U/D bike lock should I get with around $60 (AUS). Looking at either Kryptonite kryptolock or Onguard pitbull or bulldog. Or are there any others that may be better.

For pretty much most MTB accessories these days, I use Torpedo7 (see link below). They have 2 U/D locks for under $40. Probably not as reputable a brand as Kryptonite, but to be honest, I reckon a U/D lock regardless of brand will deter a would-be thief enough to make them forget about it and look for an easier bike to steal (one with a cable perhaps). However, it depends on the would-be thief too. If I left my $4000 MTB locked to a pole in a quiet enough street, it would go for sure regardless of lock (an angle grinder will get through just about anything). But then again, most thieves wouldn't know a good bike from a K-Mart job. A friend at work had his $120 K-Mart dual suspension bike stolen a month ago. Next to it was a $1000 Avanti hardtail. Both had cable locks, and the stolen bikes cable was sliced through (big cutters methinks).

Back to the locks - some makers have some sort of insurance setup as well if your lock gets busted - personally I imagine it either being kinda lame or a bit "jump through hoops" in order to make a claim - but then again I'm a cynic. Source(s): http://www.torpedo7.com.au/division/bike...
