Motorcycle steering locked???? |
I lock the steerling when I park my bike everyday. I just went to go grab some lunch and I could not unlock my steering. Anyone have anysuggestion on how to unlock it. I will be stuck at work if I cant get it unlocked. Try moving the bars right to left while putting and releasing pressure on the key. take the weight off the front end use the center stand if you have one...have someone sit on the bike and bring it upright....then try the unlock! Be very careful now. Sometimes when someone is trying to steal your bike, they will damage it by slashing tires, breaking ignition, etc. mainly to keep you from moving the bike. Then they will come back later and load it into the truck. Maybe it is something simple, but if you can't get it unlocked don't leave it there. Most locks are just pins that key into a bar...this locks the bars at an angle.. the pins are not very strong & can be broken if you pull the bars around whilst its still locked.. sit on the bike and take the weight of the lock pin..this may help.. Turn the handle bars in further towards the direction they are already turned. Then turn the key. I agree with "No Picture" |
