'95 Suzuki gsxr 750 needs work? |
I'm new to bikes and have wanted one for some time now. I don't know too much about how to maintain them but i assume its similar to a car. I have never rode in a full size bike but understand the basics on how to operate it. I also don't have a license to operate one legaly but my neighbor has a '95 suzuki gsxr 750 that runs (but has a hard time maybe needs a tune up?) and is trying to sell me. The bad stuff is its been laid down, the fairing is broken, turn signal lights broken, exhaust is scraped up, the foot pegs are bent/broken rear view mirrors broken. and needs a battery it wont start or crank without a charger on it. I like the fact that it starts and i can ride it because he took it out and rode it to show me its still good. * sorry for any misunderstanding, it just has a hard time starting i think because he just has it siting in his garage and hasn't had a tune up or has old gas, But once it starts its fine, and sounds ok. Well i wanted to know if i buy it for a grand, will another grand cover the parts I listed. Thanks for any input. Sounds like a dog, with alternator probs. You will pour away thousands doing it up. I would buy a smaller bike to learn on, maybe a 250CC bike that actually runs for the same money. You will kill yourself on a 750 without the experience. For an 13 year old bike that more than likely has been abused and has gone down with damage I would give him $500 the advantage is on your side because. Buy it. Drain out the old gas and replace with new.(make sure you use premium) Get a new battery. Then practice with how it is now, that way when you lay it down you wont feel to bad about it. Parts are cheap on Ebay. too much bike for a beginner, not too bad of a price tho,buy it and a smaller one if you can afford to,practice on the smaller one,and ride the 750 next year it sounds like a money pit to me, but don't get a 250, I started on an old 750, you'll be bored in a week with a 250, and you won't learn how to handle a bigger bike on one either. |

now that he said his peice ck your bulb it may be loose then the connections leading to it ...I think black and green or light blue. Maybe a lime green. That would be pretty hot!! :) ...Motorcycles have a simpler charging system than cars. When you turn your key off in a car, the alternator is seperated from the battery. In a bike, it isn't; and backflow through the diode rec... I think it's pretty good. Some of it sounds more like a letter to me than a poem. Nice work:) ...Did you fit new gaskets too? Breaking a ring or not siting them correctly sounds most likely. ...Thanks to my husband I can say that YES, I am green :O). We changed all the light bulbs of the house and use those spiral ones that are energy efficient. We also turn the light off when we leave... if your power is on and there's no punp then yes, your right, I'm 99% sure it's an issue with your clutch, check your linkage, the engine is not reading that you have the clutch pull... lol i like how everything is so extreme, except OH NO dont take my pc please oh god! ... |
