What else can i do to help the enviroment?

i'm really worried about the environment and such, but im not sure what i can do. i already do the basic stuff (turning off all lights while not using them, buying those light bulbs that last for a long time, turning off the water while brushing my teeth, taking shorter showers, walk or ride a bike where ever i can, stuff like that), but i want to do more. nothing that cost too much money, or too much time because i am a pretty busy person. just more small things like this. any suggestions?

thanks soo much.

:)

Save money and go green! Clean sinks and countertops with baking soda, or anyplace that needs scrubbing, then wipe away residue with a damp cloth. It's like a miracle cleaner! It also whitens like bleach, and it is dirt cheap. Vinegar is also good for mopping floors or using to clean appliances - I know what you're thinking, but the smell actually removes stinky smells, then the vinegar smell goes away and everything smells clean. Cut down on paper towels and use cloth napkins or kitchen towels. I actually started doing all this before green was cool, because I was broke and this stuff is so cheap. Stop using plastic as much as you can! It's horrible for the enviroment, and it's made using petroleum, so it contributes to rising fuel costs, too. You can buy reusable grocery bags pretty cheap, but if you can't use those, use paper. Good luck!

If you are really SERIOUS about this..... Turn down the temperature on your water heater... turn it down as far as your family can handle it....Heating water takes alot of energy, usually people ADD cold water to the HOT water during bathing, does that make sense??? Heating up water, then, it's TOO HOT!!!.... IF YOU can get alot of people to do this, it would really help, probly beyond most anything else 1 person can do..... REMEMBER though, even though it's pretty easy to turn down the heater, If you don't have a little experience ,,,get some help and be careful... Thanks, and CHEERIO!

People are on the earth and they are using resources.

Tomorrow there will be more people and more resources being used.

For everyone to have a job and survive then people have to use resources provided by other people.

I guess the best thing a person could do for the environment is to not have any kids. The second best thing you can do is never buy anything or use any energy source.

Remember the terrible scary environment commercials in the 70s? The world was coming to an end. In the 60s the ICE AGE was coming back.

Tomorrow yellowstone could blow up and completely change the face of the earth.

My main things I do for the world is:
Be good to animals and help as many as you can and get all your pets fixed.
Use Baking Soda for all cleaning and don't use unnecessary chemicals.
Don't worry about Global Warming. It is up to God not Al Gore.

The biggest thing most of us can do to help the environment is to avoid being rampant consumers! We don't need nearly as much as many of us have. Some things I do, which admittedly aren't practical for some folks: I buy most of my clothing at thrift stores and yard sales (recycling). I don't replace good items just because something newer, faster, brighter, hotter, cooler, etc came out. My car is 20 years old, economical on gas, and I've had it for eight years. I use method cleaning products because they are biodegradable, altho there are other great cleaning products out there too. I joined the Arbor Day Foundation for $10. The membership fee includes 10 trees, tiny trees, but they will grow and will take in carbon dioxide and 'exhale' sweet oxygen.
None of can do everything, but all of us can do something!

Kill anyone you see who's not being earthfriendly! No no well a new thing that just came out are these green cleaners available at Lowes they dont have any petroleum products or anything this cleaner is also pretty cheap.
