Need suggestions on how to start a little Neighborhood Service Business doing Misc jobs. Any Suggestions??

I live in a pretty up and coming neighborhood that has a pretty wide variety of residents that includes a single families, hopsital residents, rental property owners and fair majority of older families that have been in the neighborhood for over 40 years. (Potential clients).

Possibly services provided but not limited to.
1) Simple lawncare doing mowing, trimming, watering, etc.
2) Light pressure spraying on driveways, siding??, decks.
3) Expand to pool service cleaning, not many pools in area but the neighborhood next to ours has quiet a few. (Have 8 years experience with pool service and cleaning, water testing.
4) Errand Service.

My twist to providing service would be more eco-friendly. I would have possible electric mower, using earth friendly cleaners for spraying. For my transportation I am using my bike with trailer for my supplies.

Have my business plan in the works, looking at getting incorpated and getting things looked over the SCORE.

I am assuming your question is more on how to market it to get customers
1) Craigslist - put ads there at least once per week
2) Make up flyers to post in your neighborhood
3) Check any blogs or websites locally and ask if you can place a text ad there
4) Ask friends and neighbors for referrals

Try obtaining business cards. There are a few sites that offer 250 free business cards. Specify lawn driveway & poll cleaning, on them. Put them up in supermarkets, and other public places in the area that you want to work in. See how many calls you get. When you are speaking with individuals, than you can mention any other services which you may offer.
