Gilera DNA 125cc won't start up?

Hi. My Gilera DNA 125 won't start up, it was starting fine, then i turned it off; when I later started it, it would attempt to, but not start up. I charged the battery - the power from the battery gets to the front (controlling the lights etc) but not the back to make it start. Have I disconnected something near the battery? The bike makes no noise what-so-ever when I try to electric-start it up. The bike should be mechanically working fine (I've just bought it), so I'm quite sure its to do with the electrics. Thanks a lot if you can help!

Also I know how to start it up as I did it the other day on this bike, but this time it won't do anything, no matter how hard i try! Just tested it now, and when i turn the key to the 'on' position, then try to start it (holding the break and start button), the back break lights do not come on, yet the permanent back light does when I put the lights on.

Hi,

Most likely problem is your spark plug, have you tested it,if not you want to screw it of but keep connected to your starter and hold the end that came out of the engine to your engine casing(assuming its metal)and then try firing it up,if theres no spark made you need a new spark plug(拢5-10 from most good places) and if its not that then check the petrol flow make sure its getting to the engine because with a bike they are the normal problems,if its neither then sorry mate i cant help you i would advise you to just follow the wires from your battery and look for breaks or anything thats not meant to be.

Good Luck!

Have you replaced all the wires on battery terminals?.

like all mopeds you have to have the brake on ,see if your brake light comes on,keep the brake on wile you press the starter.if your stop lights don't come on 2 things to look 4,1 are the brake switches working, to see remove the two wires from a switch &short them together stop lights should come on,if this does happen still with the wires shorted hit the starter,2 see if the rear bulbs have blown

the most obvious reason would have to be a flat battery ??? duh
have you tried beeping your horn???? cus if that doesnt work like it should you've got a flat battery and an easy fix charge it up
hope that helps

1 gallon off fuel
1 zippo lighter
best thing for it
