RANK THESE FIVE STATEMENTS BELOW FROM 1-5 THERE NR 1 IS THE WORST.. THEN GIVE ME A DESCRIPTION ON EACH STATEMENT EXPLAINING AND GIVE REASON FOR WHY YOU CHOSE THIS ORDER. COMPARE AND DISCUSS EACH RANKING. OK..! HERE GO.. A. Sharing downloaded copyright material (music, videos etc) with friends. B. Hiding a refugee from the police. C. Forging parent's signature to get a few days off from school. D. Buying a bike that may be sloten. E. Driving through a red light when there is nobody around. I reallly need your help with this ang this is important for me.. So please be serious..Thanks. 1 - Driving through the light. There is ALWAYS the possibility of someone being there. Just because you don't see them doesn't mean they won't be there. 2 - The bike. People who pay for things stolen just encourage the thieves to continue. Stolen property that has no use is just a pain, therefore less gets stolen. 3 - Forging the signature. Seems hardless, but if something happens, it can be bad seeing as A: nobody knows where you are and B: legally the school is in charge of you unless you have a legitimate note. 4 - Refugee. It takes so long to leave refugee camps, there is such a backlog, and they're not actually costing the country money because they're unable to recieve benifits. However, time and money is wasted finding them 5 - Downloading music. Generally, whilst music companies are losing money, they have that much as it is. As well as this, music has been withheld and controlled for so long having an open exchange creates a much wider interest. Besides this, music in the past has been so overpriced, it's evening the playing field! And money is made up elsewhere - to share music with friends, SOMEONE had to buy it, and there is still concerts, endorsements, merchandise, royalties, etc. in order from worst to not as bad.B,C,D,E,A No one else can answer this for you. The whole point is to identify your own values and the hierarchy in which you place them. Each person makes different choices, depending on the circumstances. What age is the homework for? I ask because the question C is obviously a child who is not punishable in the eyes of the law Also do you mean what YOU feel is the worst morally ? From least moral to slightly more moral: 1 Hiding a refugee (fugitive?) from police. 2 Forging parents signature 3 Buying a bike that may be stolen 4 Sharing downloaded copyright material 5 Driving through a red light when no one is around. I chose this order because the higher on the list, the more potential for harm to an innocent victim. I include emotional harm as well as physical. A,E,B,C,D. |
