Australian, NSW Police Fines?! SERIOUS ANSWES ONLY!!!? |
Yesterday i got pulled over in Western Sydney for "going through a red light" but the light had just turned Amber when i passed the line were u stop, a cop ona motor bike stopped me & said why did i go through a red light? i said it just turned amber and i had enough time! He gave me a $308 fine, im on my green P plates so he took 3points off me and i have NEVER had a fine or even a police record! shouldnt i have gotten a warning? im 20yrs old with a 18month old son, i cant afford that plus he was being SO RUDE!! i think coz i was young and a P2 driver! do u think i should write a letter or take it to court? if so what exactly should i say? People who have done a million wrong things get warnings and ive never done anything wrong and i get a big fat fine and i didnt do anything wrong! Plus there was a Redlight camera but it was pointing in the other direction i was going, would that have taken a pic if i did go through a red light? any help would be appreciated! thanks... It comes down to his word against yours. Try writing a letter but generally they will only let you off if you've been driving for a lot of years without an infringement not just a couple. Due to the fact that something stupid like 8 out of 10 fatal accidents in NSW are caused by P Plate drivers they are having a serious crackdown. if you have a good driving record you could write a letter to the infringement bureau.going to court is not only expensive but stressful and not really worth it to contest a red light. because the red light camera was facing the other way is only is his word against yours. don't they have some real criminals to catch!!! |
