Is this an okay daily diet for a woman 8 mo. pregnant and trying not to gain any more weight?



Too many calories/carbs?
Breakfast: Peanut butter sand. with honey wheat bread
Lunch: About 1 1/2 cups chicken alfredo
Dinner: 6 oz. steak with about 1cup cabbage and 1 piece of wheat toast with butter.
Snacks: About 1 cup watermellon and pineapple, 1/2 a banana, a handful of whole-grain chocolate cookies, 1/4 cup coleslaw, and 2 slices of wheat bread
Drinks: 2 cups water, 1 cup milk, and 1 cup crystal light.
I also did 45 minutes on a stationary bike, and walked for 30 minutes. I have gained 25 pounds and don't want to gain any more. Any suggestions on how I can change my diet to accomplish this?

You're in the normal range. At the end of the pregnancy a mom is expected to have a healthy 25-35 lbs gain, 5 of which in the last month.

Remember that the kid plus amnios will weight 22 lbs and you will need some more weight to breastfeed him/her, so relax.

However, do not overeat either. Too many women have the mistaken impression that the fatter they get the healthier the baby is.

Drink as much water as you possibly can and eat as many veggies as you can. Neither has calories, and both satisfy and curve hunger. Good luck to you and your baby!
you're not eating or drinking enough! your baby is growing so much at this point and you need to let him/her! this means gaining a bit of weight, but it's normal to do so. this weight is your baby - don't deny the child this!

btw, if nothing else, you need at least 10 glasses of fluids!
You're eating a lot of processed foods. Try eating oatmeal in the mornings, and instead of steak, eat leaner meats like chicken. Also, think about your babies health first, you will lose the weight after.
drink at least 8 glasses of water a day increase the milk to, eat more veggies remmember you are eating 4 two .
