Bikers have u had this happened to u before????? |
Get this the other day it was about 11:00 at night and my girlfriend and I where heading to my apartment after a long day bike ride so we can well u know. well I made the green light but my girlfriend didnt so I pulled into a parking lot to wait for her and besides I had to go to the bathroom. well anyway the light was green for her to go but a person in a car going the other way just want turned on a red and came inches from hitting my girlfriends bike. Now I ask her if she was ok and she was but I just want to know if it happened to u???? ride like you are invisible and no-one can see you, just the way it is----35yrs. worth yep. i've been hit once. now i hit back :D Not like that, but I had a guy come off an exit ramp, across 2 lanes of traffic and hit me while I was waiting in the turning lane. I was not okay though, got a broken back and severe brain concussion. The first part has happened - him getting through a light and having to wait for me. But I haven't had that close a call yet. Not exactly like that, Had one car turn out in front of me, I had the right of way and he ran a stop sign, I locked the binders and the car behind me tagged me at 35 mph. It totaled my ride and put me in the hospital for almost a week with broken ribs, concussion, dislocated shoulder, and a broken ankle. Its a risk you take when riding among cages. I have had a total of three accidents on my bikes that have put me in the hospital for a total of 4 weeks. Not to bad for 32 years with an iron pony under my butt. Just an old biker That's what kills us, cars turning left. I've been riding a few yrs so I'd seen every stupid, mean or careless thing a cager can do. Ride like you're invisible. |
