Gsxr questions? |
i just bought a '04 gsxr 600... i just have a few questions how do i change the time on the gauge cluster? what does the bright white lite on the gauge cluster do? it turns on when i push the button by it but i dont know what it does? aprox. how many miles or how much fuel do i have left when the gas light goes on? what bolt on exhausts will fit my bike... i cant afford a new one so im gonna buy one off of ebay. thanks Kyle RC is right most of the answers here are useless. The white light is your shift light. You can program both that and your clock, the owners manual should show how to do it. Since I have a Yamaha I cant get anymore specific than that. Just learn to ride it; don't go changing stuff, except to make it in tune -- chain slack and lube, tire pressures, general look-over and clean-up. Then go to the dealer, and ask. While you're there, buy the manual. obviously you haven't read some of the answers here most are clueless buy the manual if your not a noob why are you asking these things http://www.diff.ru/manual/man.php... free manual download.. person you buy the pipe from should know what it fits.. 35 years riding & counting.. umm the time you change by pushing "select and adjust buttons" simultaneously for more then 2 sec.then use the adj. button to set hour ..push select to bring up the minutes, then use the adj. button to set minutes .white light is a shift light .starts at 7000 rpm set at intervals of 500 rpm.I can tell you how to set it later .. my bike has about 1.8 Qts. yes quarts ... left when light comes on so don't let it get that low .. I have a yosh. rs3 bolt on stainless ,but many other manufacturers make pipes for suzuki. depends on what you like the looks of. To answer most of your questions. 1.See the free manual download which one of the people on here gave you, for gauge cluster info. 2.Fuel question is 1/8th of a tank is left, depends on fuel milage as to how far you can go. say 30-40 miles is all. 3.Check with J&P Cycles for Metric Bikes bolt on exhaust, it's a good place to select the correct exhaust. Call the tech line it's free, they can assist you in selecting the best for that bike. I say Vance & Hines, K&N High Flow air filter. Power commander module, you will need all of these things if you change the exhaust or the bike will run to lean and burn up the motor. |
