I can't seem to lose weight...help!? |
I'm 5'4 and 135 lbs. I have already lost 35 lbs this year following the diet and exercise program I will describe below. I took about 2 months off and just maintained, but I am now ready to lose the final 5-10 lbs. When I re-started the program that worked for me before, I am finding that its not working this time. I did get down to 131 lbs at first, but have since gone back up to 134 lbs and have stayed there. This did not happen before! Current Diet Breakfast --> sugar free protein shake Lunch --> Lean meat and salad Snack --> sugar free/low sugar protein bar Dinner --> Lean meat and veggies Snack --> sugar free jell-or silhouette yogurt Exercise ---> cardio 6x a week (45 min cardio DVD or 60-90 min bike ride at varying intensities, lots of hills on path I go to), light weight training 3-5x week and pilates 2x week. I am also making sure I stay hydrated...I drink 8 cups of water a day, plus a glass or two of crytsal light and my protein shakes. Any ideas? My dogs breath smells really bad - haha it seems you've been doing things that are too repetetive..try eating whole fruits for breakfast and granola or nuts for protein, lunch seems fine, snacks are okay but try adding fruit or veggies once again to keep your blood sugar stable longer. you should try different exercises each day to mix it up and keep your body guessing. good thinking w/the hydration. hope this helps i think youve hit a plateau at this point you need to really race for it and try your best give it 200% Ahmad786_Baig@hotmail.com Maybe up your weights - Add a few pounds - that will build more muscle and decrease fat - your weight may not change but your body will look better. You have a good diet and exercise plan...stick to it! I suggest changing your cardio routine every two weeks. That way...you work other parts of your body and you challenge your body to see what you can really do. I also suggest buying...or subscribing...to a fitness magazine like Shape or Fitness...they always have GREAT workouts, play lists, and motivational stories. Congratulations on loosing 35! Thats huge. So, good luck, never give up...and keep your eye on the prize! To successfully lose weight, you must carry out a plan to balance your caloric intake with exercise. Ideally, dieting should be done by eating a nutritionally balanced, low-calorie diet and increasing physical activity. I found useful informations at |
