Buell blast need help please .. wait to make it stand out big time make it look very DIFF help? |
I have a 01 buell blast I would like to make it really DIFF i have sen the lighting light son a few and i haveseen a few other parts on a blast on line that was really cool I am looking to make my blast on of a kind can any one help me please,,, AND THOSE WHO DON"T RIDE HARLEYS PLEASE DON"T SAY get a new bike I like my buell ,,I know some of the parts was from JAP bikes on this BUELL HELP PLEASE >>>>> I don't ride Harleys and I think Buells look great. They look like what 'zuke and BMW would make if their bikes got together and had children, LOL. First, you need to custom paint your bike. Get the frame and rims custom painted in addition to the gas tank and fenders! Second, you need to accessorize your bike. Look for things like "hand guards," "crash bars" "engine guards" "frame sliders" "swingarm sliders" "bar ends" that fit your bike. If these things are painted enamel black, well, get them custom painted too. Third, you need a "light bar." This is a thingie that mounts on the front of the motorcycle and has three headlights instead of one. Fourth, you need an LED underbelly lighting kit. Go to Ebay and look for "Buell LED" Fifth, you need to replace the brake lines and other cables with "braided" style. Sixth, you need to replace the stock mirrors. Maybe bar end mirrors are your thing. They're not mine. Be sure to keep the stock mirrors around; when you sell your motorcycle, the buyer will want them. Seventh, replace all the turn signals. See if you can get "flush mount" for the front ones, and LED ones that don't look amber when they're off for the rear. ummm..... well 01 buells are kinda sorta ugly. maybe you could get a new buell if you like them. i guess that because i like sport bikes , kinda like the jap bikes you hate. and if that idea fails , use some candy paint on it. Seems like a 'waste' of coin, but try a custom paint scheme. There dones't appear to be a real following that I can see. Two of my four sons started on a Buell Blast (2000 model) and since then went to an X1 Lightening and R1 Yamaha. The one with Yamaha want to get back to Buell in the future. You'll find a boat load of Buell sites on the web, but few dealing with only the Blast. Good luck and ride safe. Have your Blast painted pearl pink with complimentary pin striping. You'll definitely have a one of a kind then. I have a buell mutant....buell engine in a rigid frame. Buell Rock! On to your answer. First I would do flames get those cling on ones (so you can remove when you sell). Or try cool stickers (like funny ones or sponsor stickers)-look like a racer. Next try replacing the headlight with a cooler looking one off ebay. Blasts don't go very fast-but they don't have to know that. Rip off the exhaust can and get some d&d slip-ons-just fabricate some mounts. Get the rumble of a 69' camaro out of that thing. next I would go a tooth size down on your sprocket and pulley. Will give you a better launch when the light turns green, but you will lose some top end. Also try a k&n air filter. All these will give you buell a more "sleeper" apperance. They will have that second where their heart stops when you pull away that first 10 yards....but then its over-good luck bub. 01 duc monster 750, 97 gsxr 600, 00 buell mutant (1200) |
