Why do some bikers claim the noise is for safety but they don't take other safety precautions? |
Most loud bikers wear black or dark clothes, not bright colors. Most loud bikers ride dark colored bikes. Most loud bikers wear the smallest helmet, not the safest. Most loud bikers have only required lighting, not extra marking lights. Actually loud pipes make agressive motorcycle drivers... From my personal riding experience I have noticed that it is usually the weekend riders that have loud pipes. It is obnoxious to ride such a bike every day. I ride my bike non stop and do not own a car but I am planning to purchase Vance and Hines pipes soon too. I am planning to keep the baffles on and want to get them to improve the performance on my bike too. If you fellas are mojo enough to ride your loud machines and show off don't be sissies to accept come critique, OK? The sound of a motorcycle, like a Harley, is unmistakable. I live in the LA area and when a motorcycle is trying to pass in the carpool lane and they think that there is not enough room they rev their engine to make their presence known. As for the other precautions it depends on the biker. Black leather is the clothing of the traditional and modern biker. It is a rebellion thing. It dates back to the 1920's. It's a macho thing. It's like saying a coffee-can muffler tip is for performance, or that racing stripes make your car faster. Ya right! There *may* be a little bit of truth to the safety factor of loud exhause of bikes, but that's only because they are hard to see. The people that ride hard-to-see vehicles, including bikes, aren't looking for safety, they just want to be noticed... They claim 'safety' because it's an easy half-truth. They want attention just like the guy in the stock CRX with a glasspack from Jim-Bob's Car Parts - it's not performance, it's not safety, it's not economy - it is all about the attention they get. Most loud HARLEY riders you mean. The loud crotch rocket riders often think they are professional riders and have very garish-looking bikes and leathers on, including helmets that are painted like lizards or op-art. Vlasko, I see you're still at it....trolling that is. People, this Vlasko person is only a troll trying to get attention. He needs ignored in the worst way. Why do car drivers buy cars for the safety value yet continue to drink and drive, fail to wear seatbelts , speed and failt to stop at stop signs.?? Why are teenage car drivers the most endangered species on this planet? Why are compulsive drink drivers allowed to repaetedly go back on to t he roads after being slapped on the wrist. Why is killing somebody with a car when you have been drink driving not classed as nurder and treated accordingly. You are one of the se individuals who gas to blame others for your road user incompetance as it would never be your fault. Sorry Officer , small kid on a push bike, yeah sorry I know its a school zone but who would have thought , really sorry didnt see him till to late. he must have been speeding. Get real on the road or give your license up beacause you shouldnt be there. You make me sick you hypocritical mummies boy. I would be very interested to see how clean your licence is , you will tell us it is clean and in the 278 years you have never had an accident....but I bet you have caused more than a few. i see the noise police are back.what a joke kind of like your questions.what's wrong isn't mommy giving you enough attention.i think you got beat up by a girl on a Harley.you need help with your problem.get a set of new glasses so you can see.a person like you should not be allowed to drive if he can't see a motorcyclist |
