I am interested in making a headlight for my bike which has a 12v battery. is it possible to make a LED headlight with the beam and everything. i plan to go for white colour LEDs . i dont have any idea about electronics, ya but i can do some jugad and stuff like that. now i wanna know how do i fix 15 to 20 LEDs so that i can get a brighter light ,
You can't focus an LED (or an array of LED's in this case) well enough for them to be useful as a headlight. Get a Sylvania Silverstar replacement bulb and save yourself the trouble.

http://www.sylvania.com/consumerproducts... Home-made headlamps are not street legal. You have to have a light that meets state or provincial standards. Contact your DVL/DMV for the appropriate legislation regarding headlamp standards. You cant! LEDs were designed to be seen thru fog, and brighter than old tail-lights. Not for SEEING 300 ft down the road...thats what Halogen"s are for.........
