After having my Petrol tank painted, I refitted the tank but bike will not start. Instead of the usual buzz from the fuel injection , the petrol pump is pumping all the time very loudly and the low fuel warning light is on even after putting two gallons of petrol in the tank. Removed tank and found no petrol in fuel line. All breathers are clear and electrical conections on properly.
Double check your fuel lines and make sure none of them are pinched when mounting the tank to the frame or blocked by debris in the tank.
Kawasaki's web site has an illustrated parts catalog for your bike that may help in locating and placing fuel lines. Check it out at this web address...

Possibly obstruction in petcock from painting process, maybe steel wool to prevent overspray or some other compound, take the entire tank assembly apart and blow out all the fuel lines. Of course, by now you may have moved the obstruction, but if there is no fuel in the fuel line, you may be lucky and just have an obstruction in the tank assembly.
