Can't sleep...?



Yeah, so it's the holidays, and I've been staying up late lately (like up to 2am usually) and like 4 days ago, I stayed up till 4am. And in the last few days, I go to bed at like 11pm, and end up lying in bed with tired eyes (which go away in seconds with the light on) up until nearly 5am, before I can get some sleep. I usually sleep for 12 hours, which is one of the reasons why I think I can't sleep. I exercised last night (I hadn't in a while, and thought it might help me sleep, 7.9km on exercise bike), but last night I still went to sleep at around 4am...I try to clear my mind and not think about stuff, but then I find myself thinking about how I'm not trying to think, one thought leads to another...any tips? (oh yeah, warm milk doesn't help)

Umm let's see. That happens to me like probably every night [holidays]. I think it's because of your sleeping pattern. You've been sleeping at 2am, and your body has grown accustomed to it. Keep trying to sleep at 11pm [ you probably won't be able to first few tries], but after a while, you'll get really drowsy and inactive because of lack of sleep, then you should sleep easier. OR, you can make yourself sleepy. I don't know, sleep at the time you usually sleep, and set an alarm at maybe the 6-8 hour point of your snooze? Then the next day you'll sleep easier. Its just my theory, I'm only 14, so don't get angry if it doesn't work [hope it does]
well drink a milk 5 times in 7pm
Exercising at night is not a good idea, it just brings up your metabolism and you aren't going to sleep. Try reading or take some Tylenol PM with some warm milk ;-)
Also you could talk to your doctor about getting Lunesta.
em...reading good books..watching a movie on like a laptop or sumtin..i dont know they usually work for me!!!..
Try taking a warm bath or read before sleeping. It'd be very hard and will take some time to adjust since you've been staying up so late.
I have that same problem I am up and dont sleep till after 5 am aswell. I used to lay in bed and fantasize and I would fall asleep that way. But now its different I know how to make myself go to sleep. I play solitare on my phone. It may sound stupid but you should give it a try. I was just playing a regular game one night and noticed that i felt sleepy after 2 games. Next thing you know I was knocked out. And that happen everynight ever since. Good Luck
i have the same problem honey.And can tell u why to,because we are to woory by our life.Trust me is something that can let us to leave in pace.Maiby is something that u wish very much and u can haveit.To woork or in your loveships,try to don t think or to resolve them.
