I cant lose anymore weight, why is that? |
ok im getting so frustrated...im 27 5'7 and 225 pounds, i work out about 5 times a week on the tredmill and bike for about an hour. i eat good and healthy, i stay active, i have been exercising since may and i have only lost about 15 pounds. but since about june 20 or so i would say, i havent lost a single pound i have stayed the same weight for more than a month, does this mean i will not lose anymore? should i just give up? it seems like im working hard and staying disiplined on what i eat and still i cant lose anything, i do light weight training about 2 times a week, no change at all and im really frustrated, what can i do to speed up the weight loss? am i doing something wrong or not doing something i should be? please help me and serious answers only dont try to sell me products or advertise, im not interested, thank you all you are not doing anything wrong! you sound very healthy... you may have hit a plateau... so you may start losing weight again but not soon but don't stop or you'll GAIN weight... i don't have to tell you that you don't want that! :D muscle can build up too... i can't tell you to do anything... you're already doing everything!! good for you and keep it up! it could be that you are gaining muscle, or that the initial shock to your body wore off. Try changing up the diet and workout to different routines. i weigh about 230 now but less than two months ago i weighed 256. i just eat low carbohydrate stuff(low carb). i cant really help you if your vegetarian sorry you can eat salad just not a lot. but for the first three weeks(i know its a long time) just eat chicken and steak. and after that just watch what you eat. after the three weeks you will go into a thing called kytosis, which makes it so you can (sorry to be crude or whatever) pee out fat basically. you can go to the drug store and pick up kytostix, which are sticks that you pee on and they tell you if you are in kytosis. you should lose weight in no time. good luck! any questions ask. perhaps you should take another look at your portion sizes measure if you have to =(I did) =you will be surprised at how much more you are eating then you should =if you stick to the measuring of portions and your exercises ,you will soon start noticing a weight loss=good luck hay . well im not a pro or nething but if you like to shop mayb you should go dowtown to like a shoping spot with lots of little shops . ull get a lot of walking done and youll be having fun !!!!! :] oh and i know u sed no advertisements ... BUT ! i mean im only 16 [my moms a sycho health freak cuz shes a doctor but] i get this magazine called "SHAPE" its GREAT ! they give you great tips on new small workouts and yah it great great great ! definetly try it ! good luck !!!! :] keep your head UP and keep SMILIN ! :] MUSCLE WEIGHS MORE THAN FAT!!!!!! Yes, you are doing all of the right things, except you may be over-exercising in ways that build muscle mass! You may be in perfect health and in perfect condition, but you just built up too much muscle! Talk to a sports medicine physician about what you are trying to accomplish, He/she might have some ideas on how you can lose weight and get the body type you want. Don't give up, just modify your game plan a little. I know exactly what you are going through. I played football at 235 lbs and after my playing days were done, I went to 250. I could only lose weight by diet because the moment I worked out, I started building muscle mass again, and I would actually gain weight. Talk it over with a sports medicine physician. Best post-football weight with acceptable muscle mass for me, was 225 lbs when I was 29, @ 6'2". ( I wish I looked like that NOW @ 54! LOL) |
