Good bicycle for light exercise? |
I am planning to buy a bicycle(hybrid) I don't want to spend more than 250.00. I have been reading about different brands, but I can make my mind. I almost decided for a Schwinn, but have read some controversials reviews. Any suggestion? For light exercise I personally would not recommend a fully suspended moutain bike. I purchased a Specialized Crossroads for my partner and she loves it. It has a light duty front shock that's not heavy and a suspended seat post with a nice cushy seat. If you are looking to pedal around the park with your family or run errands around town, I would recommend a bike like this. I'm sure other brands have something comparable. I believe this model is also in your price range. As someone else said, go to your local bike shop. Most of the time they are very helpful. If you are as specific with them as you were here, they will show exactly what you need and explain the pros and cons of different brands and let you make up your mind. Good luck! Just hooking in. I want to see the answers. no i guess u should buy something on ur budget n easy to manage bicycle.buy something u sure about .it makes u sleep well at night..goodd luck..enjoy cycling It is better to get a reputable brand like Jamis or Kona, . I would recommend a Specialized ,GT,Kona,Trek or Jamis is fine. Look for something with disk brakes, aluminum frame, decent front fork with more than 3 inches of travel and a rear shock but you are going to spend more money for the nicer features. Buy from a reputable dealer and don't make any hasty decisions. If you need more information buy any mountain bike magazine buyers guide or go to a dealer. All bikes are surprisingly similar in this price range. If you're new to cycling get measured for your bike at a decent cycle shop. They will set it up to your comfort requirements, stopping aches and pains later on. |
