Hey i was wondering if the oil light on a 1997 cbr f3 should be on when the bike is started. The light goes off once the kickstand is up. It doesnt turn on while im riding at all. I bought the a couple weeks ago, and im just wondering if it needs or oil, or if the light just turns on when i turn the ignition key. Thanks alot guys!
No its perfectly normal for the light to go on when you first start the bike.
Most electrical systems do a "light check" at startup. I'd check the oil just to be sure though.
