Why are the cops bothering us with small stuff when there are really bad criminals out there.?

Let me address something some complainers here and elsewhere say, in the form of a question.

They argue that we waste our time pulling them over for minor traffic "crap" and we should be going after "hardcore" criminals. "I was just riding my bike without a light, why are you harassing me?"

Well my ignorant friends.....that鈥檚 how patrol officers get the hardcore criminals. We make minor vehicle code car stops and muni stops and find the guns, drugs, kiddy porn and little girls duct taped in the trunk.

What was that? Did you just say, "But I don't look like a criminal why did I get stopped?" Are you suggesting we profile people? Are you giving me permission to stop people based on a predetermined notion that a certain "type" of person commits crime? OH MY GOD!!!! Are you insane? Do want us to leave ourselves open for law suits filed by the big corporations..errr..uh...I mean organizations out there protecting the little guy?

I agree with what you're saying, but I believe you might have wasted your time. A lot of negative questions, or comments about the Police, are posted by MORONS, just to see what type of response they will get. Why should you get away with breaking the law? Breaking the law is a crime.
Usually the little stuff turns into the big stuff.
It's true what you say, plus it's a matter of perspective just who the "really bad " criminals are.
I agree with you 100%. The cops out there are pretty annoying when they pull me over, but I am very thankful for them when they put their life on the line to protect me from the real bad people.
