Is it possible to lose 20-25 lbs. in two months? |
I'm 15, 5'5 and I way about 170-185. I've been trying to lose weight for a while now and it's not working. So, before school starts back, I want to have at least dropped down to 150. I don't eat a lot, and I eat a lot of fruit (apples, grapes, watermelon) and vegies (corn, broccoli, etc.) and I only eat fast food now once or twice (rarely 3 ) times a month. But I do drink a lot (water, ginger ale, and Crystal Light), I ride my bike at least 6-7 miles a week, and sometimes I walk at least 5 every other day, I even joined Curves, but stil gained weight (I think it was muscle) and I can't shed the pounds. I think it's water weight, but how do I lose that? Does anyone have any clue what I should do. I'm starting to think I'll be fat for the rest of my teen years. Have you talked to your doctor about this? It may be a thyroid condition. By the way, water weight is usually shed by drinking plenty of water and cutting down on salt. Try to keep things varied in your work out. Change your bike routes and your pace. It has been shown to help rather than sticking to an exact route which eventually you will become used to and unable to progress any further. Good luck with your weight loss. You seem like an above average healthy person besides and good for you! :) Have you tried prescription strenght appetite supressant Rimonabant? http://www.4rx.us if you want to investigate it further. Enjoy, it is doable. http://www.4rx.us just try weight watchers, you lose 2 pounds per week and u still get to eat whatever u like. thats the only thing that worked for me without that much working out and deprivation.hope it helps :) The Weight Watchers idea is a good one. The thought I had when I read your question was do you eat protein? You mention fruits, vegetables and liquids, but no mention of protein or dairy. Sometimes our metabolisms slow down when we aren't eating enough. It might be a good idea to get some nutritional guidance. If you don't want to go to WW, try a ADA or diabetic diet, it's balanced and safe and don't go below 1200 calories a day. Do an internet search to find the diet. |
