I have a 1994 Mustang GT. As my car runs there is a very low whistle and hiss. Whats wrong? |
They hiss sounds like air leaking from a bike tire, the whistle very light or maybe even a light squeak from a pulley or something, however that wouldn't explain the hiss. Any ideas? V8 5.0L in case you need to know. sounds like a vacuum leak ..... have you been noticing it idling any different?? Source(s): ASE certified technician Sounds like a rack and pinion. maybe a vacuum line? is this when it's idling? pulley or sounds like a hose leak or maybe a radiator problem look for a vacum leak under the hood This is normal. It usually happens with engines that begin to become old and out of age. Take it to a ford dealer, maybe they can renew the engine or maybe just fix the sound. |
