I have a Harley softtail that has an accessory switch that keeps turning off the power.How do I tighten it?


the accessory switch is loose and when I turn it on the bike fires and runs, but while running the switch shuts off. The bike still runs but I have no lights. How do you tighten or adjust it?

Replace the Switch. It wouldn't cost much, and it is easy to replace. Safer, cheaper and it will resolve the problem. Just go in to the shop and have them order one for you if they don't have one onsite. Over looking this is not good, soon something else will break down, then you will have a host of problems.

a buddy of mine had the same problem. he ended up saling it. harley's suck unless you have alot of money for constant maintenance issues. sale it and buy a honda. ( or suzuki)
not as much as harley's. look at any classified ad and see all of them for sale. much more than any other bike....hmm, i wonder why???
