Wht bke should i buy? may i have a specific namebrand and model and other bikes i may be interested in?

around $300
very light weight
very tough long lasting bike for all terrain
hard tail
alllllll black, as much as possible

here you go:

you can buy it at target's website here:

This one is $350 but it will last much longer than anything you might find inside a department store. The rear suspension actually works, and you've got a Manitou suspension fork and quality Hayes disc brakes.

If you want a hardtail, these will do:

but they aren't completely black

I've heard from some bicycle forums that Forge Bikes are manufactured by Giant Bicycles, search for it on google, I'm sure you can find it
bontrager's principle
strong, light, cheap
pick any two

ie strong and light will not be cheap etc.

there are a lot of brands out there
Go to a bike shop and hunt last year's bikes or possibly used ones. $300 is getting down into cheaply built bikes otherwise.
My suggestion remains the Diamondback Response Sport. Solid bike for the bucks.
