Has anyone experienced problems starting their motorcycle after installing Datatool Alarm/Immobilizer?

I have a Suzuki SV650S, 2002 model, a parallel import that has recently been fitted with Datatool Alarm/Immobilizer System 3 and since installation I've been unable to start the bike.
I though perhaps the battery was not up to scratch, as I'd let the bike sit for almost a week after having the alarm installed. I removed the battery after putting the bike in service mode and fitted a brand new Yuasa battery, fully charged by the motorcycle shop, but the bike still won't start.
The light's on, gear's in neutral, side stand's off: I press the starter button, I can hear the wirring sound of the starter motor, but it's as if the cylinders don't fire. I've tried start pushing the bike, but it doens't make any difference.
I've already checked the Datatool website for any info on this problem, but without success.
Any idea what else to check?

Not familiar with that alarm. Some alarms, when activated (like bike being stolen), will kill the ignition system (no spark - like the kill switch was in off position). Remove a spark plug and see if your bike's getting spark.
Remove spark plug
Insert spark plug in spark plug cap
Lay spark plug's threads against engine
Turn on key, kill switch in run position, pull in clutch and press starter button.
Any spark?
If no spark then remove the alarm.
