Headlight issues on 04 ZX6R (636)? |
I don't like them. For one thing, only one side is lit when they're on dim. The other is that they don't seem very effective, as if perhaps they're pointed wrong. I don't ride much at night so this is the first I've noticed the lack of good lighting issue. Is it possible, for this specific bike, to have it changed so that both lights are used on the dim setting? Do you know of a specific kit to do this, and/or have an idea of the cost of having it done? Regarding the direction of the lighting, should I assume they're the way they should be or would it be worthwhile changing them? I ask this because sometimes when I try to make things better I just make them worse, if you know what I mean. The headlight on my bike is always on so I was able to convert it to HID light. Perhaps you could replace your bulbs with higher wattage bulbs. Here check this out from BikerHighway http://www.bikerhiway.com/index.php?main... I have the zx6R j1 model with twin headlamp fairing, both headlamps are on when on dipped setting as well as high beam, in fact it is better at night than either of my cars..You could try new bulbs, maybe one is blown, the other stained if someone has handled the bulb whilst putting it in? Ensure you have good connections to the bulbs. it is possible to adjust the headlamps if they are to low or too high, the adjusters are easy to get at inside the fairing, but if you are not sure of what you are doing ask the shop to take a look. |
