1993 Suzuki intruder? |
I just bought a 1993 suzuki intruder 800 and I went to see why th ehorn wasn't working and now my directional lights,neutral light and speedometer lights aren't working,plus I can't get the bike to stay running after I start it and put it in to gear... It runs fine in neutral,but I soon as I shift into gear it stops...What do I need to do???HELP!!!! a) Check the fuses. b) To put it in gear from neutral, the side stand has to be up. I've also had a motorcycle where you had to pull the clutch lever too. Hard to diagnose from here, but the intruder has a switch that won't let you put it in gear with kickstand down, the other, start at the switch (ignition) and work your way out, take the tank and seat off and start looking. Put the kickstand up before you put her in gear and that should clear that up. As for the lights you may have blown a fuse or you forgot to plug something back in.
