I have the pleasure of owning an old 1988 Honda TRX300 that until recently was running and working fine until one morining I went to use it and it was literaly welded to the spot and would not start! It is showing a nuetral light and will turn over but appears to have no spark and will not move back or forwards even given extreme force, all 4 wheels are engaged in gear it seems! You can here it selecting gears and it will according to idiot lights go in reverse,I have lots of 2 wheel bike mechanical knowledge and ability but this bike with shafts and auto clutch 4wd Im a bit confused! Any responce/info would be much appreciated,Im thinking either generator has fell off and somehow jamming drive and affecting spark? Stuck in gear and showing nuetral light but lying?Because its in gear but its not a sensor is killing the ignition? I Had at least hoped to start it and rev it up to see if it would select a gear but its not having any of it,motor spinning over freely???????? Damn thing !
the thing is that i am 100% sure that the inside coil of your machine is gone because your inside coil is what gives the spark for the bike to stay running,at least this is what my boyfriend is telling me. good luck The bike wont start if the neutral sensor is shot,it is a saftey feature.Find the sensor (call a shop if you need to,and ask em where it is),if there are two wires jump them together, and try it.If there is one wire ground it and try it.Hope that helps.
