Any Ninja 250 owners out there? I just got mine and love it but would love to get the input of others.?

Just got my 2006 Kawasaki Ninja. I thought it would be too small but I was wrong. It's fast, light and handles better than any bike I've ridden. All this with stellar gas mileage. What do you guys think?

I got one this past October and have put 1000 miles on it already which is pretty good considering I didn't have much time on it before I had to put it away for winter and it just started getting nice here. After riding a cruiser for a couple years (which I still have) I wanted to see what the big deal was about sportbikes and found the 250 at a killer price....and I am hooked!! The cruiser is of course more comfy for longer trips but the Ninja is soooo fun!! Really glad I got it and am really impressed by the power of this little bike. I had gone on a group ride awhile back with my cruiser (which is a 650 single) and didn't find out till later that the bike I struggled all day to keep up with was a Ninja 250!! Great bike, good luck with it, and have fun!! PS..There is a yahoo group called ninja250owners club..I am on there but there is mostly spam lately...but worth joining...see ya
Do yourself a favor and joing a Yahoo Group for your motorcycle. Just do a search at the Yahoo groups homepage and then join one that you like.

Then you can share your thoughts and find tips for service/upgrades/great rides. You may even find a riding partner or two.

Good luck and be safe.
12 years and 200,000 plus miles on my 2 bikes
My son has a Ninja 250 and loves it. He can barely be pried loose from it.

And you are right. The 250 handles very well, and it has plenty of power for freeway riding. I have gotten my son's to over 100MPH on the freeway and I weigh 180pounds.

Here is a good place to discuss the Ninja bikes (including the 250): http://kawiforums.com/forum/
I bought one for my wife as her starter bike. I had to ride it from the dealership to the house and was amazed at the power it had with someone my size. I would never take a 250, any 250, on a long ride but for scooting around town it was kinda nice.

If you do much riding though, you'll start to yearn for a bit bigger pretty soon.
