I left my keys in my Suzuki sv650/s and now after a new battery it still will not turn on. What could it be? |
Left my bike for about 4 hours with the engine off but the key in the on position so my lights stayed on. now i dont have any electrical power. 1st was the new battery charged/filled with proper fluid? 2nd check fuses, links, relays, & CONNECTIONS (clean, tight, proper polarity) 3rd look for burnt wires 4th come back on for more suggestions ignition has burnt out ,or need a new starter moter check the fuses or fusible links If it's in gear and the kickstand is down, it will not start because of a safety switch that prevents you from riding off with the stand down. If that's not the obvious answer, try disconnecting the kickstand kill switch and putting a jumper across the connector to get you going until you can get it to a dealer (or savvy friend). Owned a 2003 SV650S for 3 years You have to send your duplicate keys to the agent for 'sensor' reconfiguration. Duplicate keys can only turn on the engine but not start. You have to purchase the ORiginal Key, send it for duplication then resend it back to the Agent (Suzuki Dealer) to have it encoded. Cheers. maybe your key is too short |
