I think the awarness part is great but... I am watching it and looking at all the lights and everything... I don't really consider that "being aware of how we live on our planet" I am only 13 but everyone is screwing up... MY GENERATION IS THE FUTURE... And we are going to have to deal with the MAJOR problems. I am very frustrated... ALL THE ENERGY BEING WASTED BY TRYING TO STOP GLOBAL WARMING!!!! I also have one question ... I made a song on global warming... could i please have your opinion?!? Please take to account that I am Only 13. Well the animals aren鈥檛 getting all there meals Global Warming is everywhere So don鈥檛 tell me it鈥檚 not there, don鈥檛 you dare Chorus: Walk, ride a bike, anything but a car Gas emissions have gone up way to far I鈥檓 warning you all we might just die The people of the world are living a lie We told you the facts and yet you didn鈥檛 care Go sit at home with your heart filled with despair I tried I really did to warn you of the consequences Our world is now ruined, with no defenses Chorus: I told you we better start smartening up Before the world starts heating up I told you we better start smartening up Before the world starts heating up You are very perceptive that this concert is wasting an obscene amount of fossil fuel. Can you imagine the enormous amount of fossil fuel used by the jets to get people to the concert. Can you imagine the obscene amounts of fossil fuel used to get the equipment to the concert. Yes, this concert was a ridiculous waste of fossil fuel and is a good illustration of why we cannot stop Global Warming. Someone always thinks that they have a need for fossil fuel. It is just all of those other horrible people who do not deserve to have the right to use fossil fuel. In order to stop Global Warming we would have to cut worldwide carbon dioxide emissions to less than 10% of what they are today. That means we would have to shut down all transportation systems world wide. There could be no automobiles, motor scooters, motor cycles, trucks,buses, trains, planes or shipping. We would have to stop heating our homes, factories and offices, even when it is below zero degrees outside. We would have to stop heating all water for washing or bathing. If you are serious about stopping Global Warming you must only bathe or wash with cold water. You must not use any hot water or you are contributing to Global Warming. We must stop cooking food worldwide. From now on all food must be eaten cold and raw. We must shut down all refrigeration of food. We must next shut down all manufacturing. We must not produce any new clothing. Any clothing you get must be used and it must not have been transported by any motorized vehicle, or you are contributing to Global Warming. We must shut down all steel making and cement making. We must stop generating electricity with fossil fuel. Since most electricity is generated by the use of fossil fuel, that means that you must stop the use of all electricity or you are contributing to Global Warming. Recycling, turning out the lights, and buying hybrid cars will not get us enough of a reduction in carbon dioxide usage to stop Global Warming. Remember stopping Global Warming begins at home. You must turn off your furnace, air conditioner and water heater or you are contributing to Global Warming. If you eat food that has been cooked or heated up you are contributing to Global Warming. If you eat food that has been kept in a refrigerator, you are contributing to Global Warming. If you use any hot water at all, you are contributing to Global Warming. This will help you in your quest to stop Global Warming. your poem sucks,stop wasting YOUR energy. i think you could sell that or something cuz its good and if u sold it to someone who would help it get more attention you change some peoples minds and raise awareness global warming is part of the earths cycle, would these guys be jammin if the next ice age was starting, cows and forest fires contribute more to co2 emmisions then our fossil fuel burning, what we should be worried about is the pollutants our cars and factories produce, everyone is misinformed on global warming, how many ice ages has there bin and warm periods, jeez people, whats gonna kill us is emmisions not the earth warming I answered your last question and already gave one opinion here is some more back ground for inspiration http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;... and my opinion on the concerts we cannot have enough exposure to raise Environmental awareness . Many people will be affected Al Gore Mentions 2 billion that is a lot more that the crowds Jesus Raised You may not agree with Al Gores aproach in his movie ,but the results are all positive Many people agree that because of that they have become aware that there even is a problem ,and decided to investigate further or even change their lifestyle a bit this is all good, And these concerts will do a lot more,and world wide Bringing Global warming into the focus of the masses . The effects of Woodstock rippled on for decades changing atitudes that persist with many people who are in power today . A changed mentality with the youth today means changes with control tomorrow At least in theory Well you are right that the concert may be burning fossil fuel.... but there is just a little chance that it comes from a clean source ~ perhaps you could use the Internet to search out and send a message to those involved. The more I read your poem the better I like it, BTW so you can post it again anytime you like in my opinion. The thing about the concert is that it does help to raise awareness and that can create some very positive outcomes because knowledge is power. Just "imagine" ~ if those in power learn that global warming is not the myth they think it is, or I would even accept that they thought it is a natural cyclical phenomenon but the earth would be a better place without carbon gas emissions ..... but that is a dream.. here is the reality of a cynic like me .... I think that those powers to be are persuaded by reason that they had better start singing from the same prayer book as their constituents or they will get thrown out of the choir. A concert is appropriate for that analogy don't you agree? I support it (and I love rock music). |
