Yamaha blinkers?

ok i have a 2005 r6 i just got done putting new blinkers on the front. on my bike there were 3 wires, and on the blinker there were 2 wires so i just hooked up the + and - and left the other one off but now my headlights, taillight and dash lights dont work? what do i need to do? do i need to ground out the 3rd wire or what plz help

one wire is your positive for your turn signals, another is ground, and the other is positive for your running lights. if you left one hanging it might have grounded out resulting in a blown fuse .....the fuses are under the seat .... so tape off the loose ends and replace the fuse....happy motoring Source(s): Im a yamaha service tech
the lights you took off had dual filament lamps for turn and running lights,,if you cant get a dual element socket for those after market lights consider getting a 2nd pair of lights so you have sepreate turn and markers,,dont ground the 3rd wire it will blow a fuse at the very least or blow your charging system at the very worst and leaving unconected in most cases will cause some other lights not work(headlights/taillights/das... etc.)
been there done that
