What Harley was this? |
Saw at the Wisconsin State Fair at a HD dealer display; 96" engine, probably 07 or 08 bike and I'd say was in the Dyna family (looking at HD website). Was that sorta Army green color with black. Black headlight bucket (single light), making it seem to me it was either a Superglide or Superglide Custom or a Streetbob. Had some extra "black" to it, like the handlebars and risers, plus had wire spoke wheels with bright spokes but black rims. Handlebars were very low, which I like. Not like flat bars but low bars. Engine, as I recall, was that gray look like they use alot of lately. Had a 2-up seat as well, really low bike. Other details is it had a black instrument pod and the fake fuel cap on the left with the fuel gauge built into it. Can't help you with this one Baron, but next time you look at one the model is usually written on the air cleaner. After going to the Harley site, there is only one bike that meets the paint, instrument pod and headlight criteria. The 2008 Dyna Street Bob. Sounds like the dealership put different handlebars, risers and wheels on it to complete the "blacked out" theme and added a 2-up seat. It sounds like you saw the Nightster Sportster. I think the Nightster is a really dumb name for a cool looking bike. http://a1264.g.akamai.net/7/1264/734/d99... If it had a 96 inch engine this wasn't it. Check out the 2008 Rocker. It's a Softail. |
