I recently bought a Competition Werkes fender eliminator kit for my 2005 GSX-R 1000. My bike was previously owned and did not come with the stock plate holder so I am having trouble deciding what to do. The instructions say to disconnect the left turn signal wiring and the seat latch cable. Was this just to remove the stock plate holder? I see no reason to disconnect the turn signal or the seat cable. There are two cut wires under the seat and I am assuming those are the cables that are used for the license plate light. One wire is black with a white stripe. The other is grey. Which wire is negative and which is positive? Are these even the wires for the license plate light?
