Im 22 185 and attempting to tone up? |
Daily i bike for about 20 min run 20 min on the treadmill and a lift random wieghts generally military press, curls, the curls counterpart not sure on name, and push ups and sit ups generally takes about 1.5 hours give or take 20 min. i have been goin at this with a light diet of around 2000 calories for about two weeks and results are not showing. the only thing i have noticed is that i occasioally get light headed on the last part of my work out which is running What you eat is just as or even more important than weights. What are your pre and post workout meals? Before a workout you need protein and slow digesting carbohydrates that will help keep your energy levels up. Try 20 grams of protein with a sweet potato, bowl of oatmeal, or whole grain bread. Avoid white breads and potatos as they absord too quickly. After the workout you need to feed your muscles. For a light workout take another 20 grams, up it to 30-40 for a heavy workout. Include a fast burning carb like white rice, white bread or a baked potato. Also remember water. Drink water in the 20 min. period before working out, drink during, and after drink more. I can't be sure without knowing more, but being light headed is probably a prime result of not eating the right foods for your workout. You may need to up your calories as well. And don't workout every day without rests. Unless you're a serious athlete or bodybuilder, you should not work the same body parts two days in a row. Source(s): Personal trainer |
