Does a Harley Davidison Motorcycle need rear blinkers by law? |
I know the front blinkers need to be on the bike, but what about the rear blinkers? I want to take mine off and just leave the tail light. Might depend on laws in your state. Where i am at ,state law requires turn signal front and back. Blinkers are required by law, Harley or not. Im sure its a law . But even if it wasn't , I would think you care about your safety a little more than that. I mean being on a motorcycle is dangerous enough , but now you dont want to let people know your turning intentions ? (unless you use arm) Maybe look into custom blinkers that dont stick out as much (like on sport bikes) , but not totally remove. I hate the way the things look so I trash them, front and rear. I have a good left arm so who needs 'em. Cops have never hasseled me about not having them. I personally don't care if it's legal or not. you have to have rear blinkers also. There are aftermarket license plate frames with turn lights built into them. I believe the co. name is wiska's or whiskers or something similar A Badlands load equalizer is needed if you use after market signals. I think anything post 72, requires signals. |
