How long will it take for me to lose 20lbs if I do this?



I wanna lose 20 lbs of fat near maybe the end of august or something. im satisified if i can only lose 10 lbs by august 20...because thats like when school starts. anyways, my workout routine is this. for 6 days in the week I ride my bike for 30 -45 minutes vigorous effort, and walk on my treadmill at 4 mph for an 1 hour and 30 minutes, and do push ups , crunches, things like that every other day. and occasionaly i will go jogging with my dad at night,we dont keep up a schedule. thats just to burn alittle extra calories.

im 5'8 and 170. ive been doing this workout for 2 days now. and ive been dieting for a couple weeks now..and done light workouts with those two..but not enough to actually lose weight. im drinking lots of water, and eating protein and fruits and vegetables and eating 1200 calories a day.

i think u'll end up giving up. an hour and 30 mins on a treadmill PLUS biking in one day? that's a LOT of exercise. normally you only need 30 minutes of cardio a day to start seeing changes. but if u can keep up with it then good for you. you will def. lose 10 pounds by august 20. probably more. but like i said i dont think u'll be able to keep up with it. so if it starts getting to hard just cut back some, dont quit all together. good luck
I kind of agree with the answer above. If you really think you can do it, good for you, but I know I would give up, and say, "screw being thin, it's too hard!" lol. I mean starting off, I could barely run a mie, which was pathetic, but now I'm at a 11min mile. I'm proud of myself. Maybe you should concentrate on pedaling or running a distance rather than time, like running 2 miles, and biking 5. I think you see your progression more, which makes you want to keep going. To me, It's much easier.
