Disappearing scar? |
I'm going to have 3 horrible scars near my elbow on my left arm. First 1 from a straightening iron (it's above my elbow on my arm) My elbow is very dark from getting a bad scrape and then trying to get rid of it by purposely scraping my elbow with a knife And a new to-be scar when i fell off a bike the other day it's 2 extrememly deep scrapes above my elbow. My question is: Is there a way to just lighten that whole area when i get older so i wont have all these embarrasing scars when i'm older? My skin is an olive-light brown tone Wait until you completely heal, then you can use some vitamin E oil over the scar to soften and lighten it. It will take some time, so be patient and don't pick at it! :P There are some medicines at the drug store that claim to lighten scars with a couple of weeks of use. Go to the Drug store and ask the pharmacist for stuff that may help lighten or disappear your scar. Infact go to a skin dr and see what they say. I have scars on both of my knees and I used nutrius and that helps alot and my skin color is similar to yours but a tad bit lighter with out any sun tan. I heard if you put neo-sporin on ur cuts while they are healing it helps reduce the scar and then there is over the counter stuff u can buy for after it heals to reduce the apprearance. cocoa butter is suppose to lighten scars ... it worked for me. Buy something called 'Bio-oil' its one of those products that u think is going to be a complete rip off but it actually works if u use it every day, scars and stretch marks gradually fade it's quite xpensive but lasts for ages buy in good chemists and health shops and some supermarkets |
