Running yamaha aerox with no oil? |
My friend is running his yamaha aerox with no oil and the oil light is constantly on, even when the engine is idleing. He says he cannot afford the 2 stroke oil but needs the bike to get to work. What will this do to the engine? Also what happens if he has it topped up so it just flashes when he pulls off? Thanks a 2stroke running without oil, lol good chance it wont be running in the very near future, for the price of a bott of 2stroke oil, to the cost of replacing bike, engine rebuilt, well lets say buy the oil all that would happen is the piston will lock and weld onto the bore with the heat, or the piston rings will lose compression and it wont start, and if your going to the hassle to change the rings, its a full strip down i can get 2 stroke round here for 拢20 the gallon it isnt that dear He won't be riding it much longer. If he can't afford the oil....how's he going to be able to pay for a quality rebuild ? 2 cycle oil is very cheap compared to the damage you will do to your engine if you don't use it . this lubricates things. if there is no lube your engine will eventually sieze. can you afford a new engine buy the oil Dude, Without engine oil, the engine may continue to run for a short while on oil reminants, but as soon as these are burned off the engine will sieze and need to be rebuilt. Always keep the two stroke oil level at the top of the tank, as if it is low, tiny air bubbles can get into the system and the engine will not be lubricated. Two Stroke oil is like 拢5 from halfords surely he can afford that?! this will mess up the engine to the extent that it will cost a lot to repair. tell your friend to borrow money for oil even at 50% interest itll still be cheaper than the cost of repairs if it seizes |
