Does anyone know where i can purchase the spotlights they put on police helicopters? |
When i search on yahoo i only get the nightsun bicycle lighting company. The one im talking about is a 30 million candlepower remote controlled searchlight. You could always check the police/law enforcement auction for curiosities like that. You also might want to look into companies that distribute spotlights for theatres, they might have one with the specs youre looking for.wait until they park the helicopter, then just go get it Why would you even want something that bright??? If you need a spotlight just go to your local Wal-Mart or K-Mart they sell spotlights!! you can't get them they are illegal to have on personal helicoper Travis, 15 million candlepower: http://www2.northerntool.com/product-1/2... The type you're looking for are usually custom made for exact applications...usually manufactured by GE, or overseas in China or former Warsaw Pact countries (Hungary, Bulgaria, Yugoslav Rep., Czech Rep., etc.) Hope you have very DEEP pockets...bulbs burn out on a regular basis and they are quite expensive as well. FYI...folks have landed in very hot water by using these types of lighting in less than enlightened ways. Use extreme caution in aiming these things. |
