How bright is a 5 LED bike light?

I am trying to buy some lights for my bicycle and I can't decide

As a general rule, LED lights tend to be brighter the more expensive they are, just as halogens are. Many LEDs are designed as more of a light to be seen with, and not one to actually see. ie-riding around the streets or roads at night you usually won't need to see, but will want other cars to see you. The brighter the LED, the farther away you can be seen and the more likely it'll annoy a driver enough that they'll give you plenty of clearance.

I tend to do my night riding communting to work just before or as the sun is coming up, so a low end $20 5 LED works fine for me. If I planned to do my commute ride during complete darkness during the night or early morning, I'd probably upgrade to one a little better. Keep in mind lights can range between $10-$300.
LED's vary tremendously. You can buy a flashlight with 100+ off ebay from what i've heard, but it still won't even come close to comparing to 3 of the new seoul LED's.
