I recently bought a motorcycle, the dealer added intangible extras. Is there any chance of returning them?

The dealer added LOJACK, GAP insurance, 5 year extended warranty, and 3 year maintenance plan. I want to trade the bike in and getting rid of those would bring the loan just down to what the bike is worth, which is good for trade in, being the least upside down as i can be. Is it possible to return those items? The dealer rushed me through and didn't explain what each one was, just told me to sign on each piece of paper. The LOJACK isn't even installed! What can I do, the bike is only about a little over a month old.

Ultimately, they have a contract that YOU signed showing you agreed to these things, so you have to approach it tactfully. Explain your situation to the dealership's manager and see how you can work through it together. If it was all financed, then the loan is probably already all in place and can't be changed, but if the dealer can adjust any of these things, they can apply the money from them towards your loan, reducing your balance, but not your monthly payments. The lojack should definitely be refunded if they never even put it on!
Next time, be much more careful, you aren't obligated to buy any of these things, some jurisdictions even have laws regarding how they are presented. Ask your dealer the laws in your area.... then you'll at least have his attention.

Well you may be able to cancel the warranty and the gap and get a prorated refund. These are all extras that the dealer makes most of their profitfrom. Even more than the sale of the car. All of them can be purchased for a lot less outside the dealer. I would recommend the Gap if you owe more than the bike is worth, but again it can be obtained some where other than the dealer.

Never sign anything without reading it first! First off contact the dealer and tell them you don't want all that stuff.If that doesn't work ask to speak to the owner.After that comes the regional sales manager.Tell them how your salesman didn't give you time to read what you were signing.In the meantime call the better business bureau and ask them what you can do besides lodging a complaint against the dealer.Sorry to tell you that you might be out of luck since you did sign the papers even though what the salesman did was dishonest.Your best hope might be with the owner of the dealership.If he won't help you tell him you'll make sure to tell all your friends not to do business there as they are crooks.I have a friend that went as far as to picket outside a dealership.They resolved his problem REAL fast.

If they charged you for them they should give you credit

If you dont have lojack installed they cannot charge you for it take it back and make a seen they will help you out just so you dont freak the other customers out and make them lose business
