I've got a large mirror wardrobe in my bedroom....?

I've got a large mirror wardrobe in my bedroom for which i have insurance.

My daughter thought it would be fun to ride the bike in our bedroom, she got her bike stuck to the side of the wardrobe hitting it with force and then yanked at it which made the wardrobe structure come away from its screws and literally fell apart....luckily she was ok but the mirror smashed and the wardrobe is in pieces.
I put a claim in and they got back to me saying the technition thought my claim was inconsistent with the ammount of damage to the wardrobe, so they have refused the claim.
This is the 1st time i've ever made a claim in my life and i havn't made the story up!!! why do they think i'm lying???
.... and what can i do to win this claim???

Do you have an insurance agent? What is the value of the wardrobe and mirror?

If the value is low, and the deductible is high, it is not worth the claim because they will raise your rates.

Call your agent and explain what happened. See if they can help you.
