Accident and not sure if licence is valid?

i accidentally hit someone on a bike yesterday. she was ok and but hurt her ankle. the thing is that im not sure if my licence is valid yet becasue im almost done with probation. we didnt call the police and didnt call a doctor. i gave her a copy of my insurance and that was that. should i be worried because what ifmy licence is not valid yet.

Hi Vaughn!I see your concern.But even though the girl said she was not going to report it don't you think it is unusual for her to want your ins. if she was going to forget about it.Thank God you both were o.k. Was it your fault or hers?If it was your fault then hit and run even though you both agreed to not contact police if she does is very serious.But you need to find out because 9 times out of 10 the other person is going to sue it is a cruel world but true.I would have not sued because I would not let on more than what happened to me if she does that because I would be afraid it would come back on me.And I would probally have called the police because if your probation is almost over with and all is well then you probally would of only had to serve what you had left.And bad karma could come back on you for not doing the right thing.Eighther way good luck and I hope things work out.Please let me know. <3 Sylvia P.S If it was her fault since you did not call the police she could still say it was your fault and you are still in a world of trouble. But to answer your question you should have called the police and ahd the girl see a doctor. This is mainly to cover your butt. If she did get hurt she can sue you. You should also be more worried that you hit a person in your car than weather or not your license is valid yet. Thats nothing compared to a hit and run charge or failure to cooperate with some other law you may have broken.

Other than that it depends on the state or country you are in. Some have laws that require you to report any and all accidents. Some have a mutual agreement rule where if both parties agree, verbally, to not press charges or seek damages then no harm no fowl.
