Motorcycle insurance full coverage!?

how much will it cost me? im 18 and im going to take the MSF course...my bike is a honda cbr 600rr 2005

i could i put my dad under my motorcycle?

he is 50 and no tickets

he had his m1 for like 10yrs but not no more

where are you from? and where are these people from that are paying 3g's a year for bike ins? I got my first bike at age 17 and insured it for $350 a year FULL COVERAGE. im now 38 and pay $220 yr. You can only get full coverage for a bike there is no liability available for bikes. Stop asking these morons on here and call a local ins agency for a free quote.

because of your age and the fact that you
have no motorcycle history insurance is not going to be cheap. if you try to insure your bike under your dads name to hide the fact that you are riding it that's called fraud. if you are paying cash and not financing the bike you do not need full coverage. you only need liability.

Insurance co's are not stupid
yes it will be cheaper if your dad is named as the owner on the insurance, but the price will increase when your name as a 18 year old is added to the policy.
crotch rockets are high cause they have a high serious accident rate.
I know 22 year olds with a good driving record that are paying $3000 to insure a crotch rocket.
Your 50 year old dad alone on the insurance will cost around $1000 to $1200, but adding his 18 year old son will up the price from $2200 to $3000.
I suggest to trade in the crotch rocket for a standard bike

Your age, size of bike, short number of years riding a street bike, and possibly newness of bike will all work against you.
Taking the MSF course SHOULD help out.
Your best bet is have your dad title/insure it under his name, naming you as a co-rider.

You can get a fairly accurate quote online from http://motorcycle.progressive.com/

You can specify full-coverage and just liability and see what the differences would be. And the difference is tremendous believe me.

Just for an example I went to the site and entered the info for your bike (keep in mind that I entered my geographic info and yours may make the rate different)
For liability only it would cost $841 yearly.
For full coverage with a $500 deductible it would cost $2,763.00 yearly.
