Do you know how could i know the name of my (peugeot speedfight 2 100cc 2000's)immobiliser.?

and how could i know that my bike is tagged (eg: data tag) plz help me because i need this information for the purpose of insurance. i just bought the bike for the first time.

Yes I agree with MICHAEL S.

If you are getting quotes online, have a look if "Factory Fitted" is on the list off immobilisers/alarms.

Saying your bike is garaged will certainly lower your premium, I remember a quote for my scooter going from 拢250 to 拢150 (I'm in London).

A good place to try for insurance is http://www.thebikeinsurer.co.uk - it's a bit like http://www.confused.com and http://www.gocompare.com but JUST for bikes.

Also try http://www.lexhaminsurance.co.uk (for cheapest quote it's best to call them - or do it online and they will call you the next day with a lower price) - they are cheap for young riders.

the insurance people are fools...your obviusly tying to get a quote, mentioned its got an imobiliser and they want to know its name, like i said fools...exsplain to them its a standard key coded imobiliser, factory fitted..if its datatagged then various pannels will have a long.black number burnt in with acid...also should have 2 datratag stickers on.yours wont be tagged as you would have getting a tag info sheet with the bike....tell them you keep it garaged at all times...somtimes it drops the price a bit...hope this helps.
