Suzuki GS500 or Kawi Ninja 500r?

ive been thinkin bout gettin a bike for a while now and been lookin through all the bike sites and whatnot, reading reviews and other people's opinions

was thinkin bout gettin a 250 to start off with, but then read so many posts bout how it got too boring within a week, and i see the results on site where there are literally hundreds of 250's for sale

didn't want a 600+ cause i dont need that much, and insurance would be higher

so, ive set my eyes on either the Suzuki GS500 and the Kawi Ninja 500.

there's not much traffic in my town, so i wouldn't really have to worry about the gs gettin overheated, but it does get relatively cold, so im worried about the cold start

i heard a lot of good reviews on the ninja like more hp, better handling and so on and so forth, but it doesn't look to appealing to me, and they're a bit too popular, kinda like honda civics...

anyways, i already got some pro's and cons weighing in, so if anyone could help me draw a definant line between them?

Has to be the Ninja !
Its a far better bike to ride (handling, speed ect) and they are popular for a reason

The GS is nowhere near as good !

Thats my opinion anyway ! LOL

I`ve got a ZZR1400 (ZX-14 Ninja) and i think Ninjas ROCK !

Had a GS500E when they first came out would do about 115mph flat out , would also do 70mpg if i was sensible handling was excellent took it to Knock Hill race circuit for a track day and thru the corners was keeping up with Ducati's GSXR's and the like on the straights they left me , if i came across one cheap i would buy it without hesitation for messing about on , current bike is an Aprilia SL1000 . The Kawasaki is a good enough bike and has a fairing but i would check out the price of parts , I had a GPZ900R A1 great bike but the parts were very expensive .

get the Ninja for the reasons U give-handling,power, water cooled. The 08 model has been revised (about time) and has a new look. They are popular for a reason,
U could make urs REALLY diffrent with custom paint
